Unique stays in an old Scottish church
Burgher Chapel
The chapel offers two holiday lets, the Gallery Flat and the Museum Flat. Each offers a unique experience; each reflects the textile and millinery artistry established in Burgher Chapel.

The 'Gallery Flat' is an airy, high-ceiling apartment arranged over two floors. Two tall church windows let light and warmth illuminate the open plan living space.
The flat sleeps six people, with two dedicated bedrooms and a third double bed located on a mezzanine space overlooking the lounge.
The large, quiet gallery flat offers guests a sense of peace, a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
"Everything here breathes peace and freedom. We really enjoyed our stay here and felt very comfortable. thank you Jeanette for your gracious hospitality"

"A totally beautiful experience! Thank you 'angel' Jeanette for opening up your unique world to us and for a fantastic artistic start to our Scotland-Skye road trip."

Museum Flat (The Loft)

The Museum flat is a studio apartment overlooking the chapel's wee hat museum, a celebration of the chapels former use as a textile school.
Look down through old victorian windows at the vintage and theatrical hats and textiles. Through the window look out to the River Tay, the Isle of Mugdrum and Perthshire beyond the river.
The flat itself offers room to breath and a quirky place from which to explore Newburgh, Fife and the rest of Scotland.
"Thank you for everything, Jeanette. It was a pleasure to spend our week of holiday here in this wonderful place. What a hidden treasure you have here. We will be back soon for sure"

More about the chapel
The chapel is a place of creativity and retreat. Both apartments offer places of contemplation, rest, getaways, and inspiration and provide sanctuary against the hustle and bustle of daily life. The working studio & hat museum are places to preserve, display, study, archive and study social and cultural expression. I hope you enjoy the atmosphere!

The town of Newburgh

Burgher Chapel lies in the Royal Borough of Newburgh on the banks of the river Tay in Fife. It may not be apparent from its quiet charm, but once the town bustled with industry, with factories and workshops, a busy working harbour and a raft of pubs along the High Street. Today, there it is quiet. There are pleasant options to walk around the town - down by the river, up in the surrounding hills.
Places to visit
There are many great places to visit within easy reach of Newburgh. Explore the Royal Hunting Lodge at Falkland, used and beloved by Mary, Queen of Scots. Or visit St Andrews, the home of golf and one of the countries oldest universities.
